Many colorists work remotely and linux gives many advantages for this use case. As such, they develop for CentOs because it is widely considered to be a good choice for remote clients and servers. Nobody runs a Ubuntu or mint server (for good reasons) and so it makes the most sense for them to develop for CentOs. If you want an easy install, run OSX, Windows or CentOs as these are the supported operating systems.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-852161773840707483.post-70706944176985343412018-10-29T17:39:14.205+00:002018-10-29T17:39:14.205+00:00If you have Nvidia GPU: sudo apt install nvidia-cu...If you have Nvidia GPU: sudo apt install nvidia-cuda-toolkit
If you have AMD GPU: sudo apt install ocl-icd-opencl-dev
Davinci Resolve may not work correctly otherwise.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-852161773840707483.post-64649290325127405092018-10-20T13:31:49.571+01:002018-10-20T13:31:49.571+01:00Thanks for the useful description. You just search for a package in some kind of Software Center or directly via package manager, or add an external repository, and install software from there. No fuss, no problems. As for Youtube tutorials… They really are for retards. An intelligent human being reads the manual, then gets the job done without any problems.Alexey Polevoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06617822696468198276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-852161773840707483.post-74294424450068012842018-10-17T23:37:43.517+01:002018-10-17T23:37:43.517+01:00You seem somewhat upset. You seem somewhat upset.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-852161773840707483.post-90373588211198497332018-10-07T11:26:31.086+01:002018-10-07T11:26:31.086+01:00So much fucking work to run a software that they w...So much fucking work to run a software that they want you to pay for it on Linux.
